Leg Aprons are generally worn by Drummers to protect their uniform trousers from wear & tear.
The Apron also offers a little bit of protection from the Drum banging against the leg/thigh.
The White Apron also adds to the overall look of the uniform.
Our Leg Aprons are now available with either:
Standard length straps (the straps at the bottom of the Apron, that go around the left leg) which are approximately 330mm in length.
Long length straps (the straps at the bottom of the Apron, that go around the left leg) which are approximately 400mm in length.
Our new TMBS Leg Aprons have been:
Re-shaped to contour the leg a little more.
Adjusted, so that the position of the button on the inside now allows the Apron to hang slightly lower.
Straightened up at the top and bottom edges
Re-aligned so that the 2 straps that go around the left leg are in line with each other (these straps have an option to be either 330mm ‘standard length’ or 400mm ‘long length’)
Made with a Whiter Cotton, which we are told is also easier to iron
Made from machine washable cotton
The adjusting tab (at the top) folds over a uniform belt and fastens to a button on the back of the apron (the adjusting tab has 3 height positions).
The straps at the bottom of the Apron, go around the back of the left leg and fasten on the outside of the left leg using the adjusting buckles provided (the excess straps can then be fed back through the buckle to keep them neat & tidy).
